TRUCK DOWN!!!!!HELP

MY BUDDY(YOUNGER GUY) JUST UNSCREWED AND DROPPED THE SCHRADER VALVE ON THE BACK OF THE FUEL REGULATOR. HE DID NOT REMOVE THE REGULATOR, JUST THE SCHRADER, TO INSTALL A GAUGE I GOT HIM. NOW HE SAYS THE TRUCK RUNS ROUGH, AND SURGES. NO PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS. I AM NOT THERE JUST GETTING INFO VIA PHONE. HE NEEDS TRUCK FOR WORK, IS THERE ANYTHING BEHIND THE SCHRADER VALVE HE MAY HAVE DROPPED OTHER THAN THE VALVE? THANKS

the springs behind the regulator. i dont think there is anything behind the schrader. i can only find one post with pics, and theres nothing mentioned

thanks guys. i think its unrelated. told him to take off the 10k mod i slapped on there and after two attempts the truck runs fine. i think he has a ipr,cps, or icp issue. thanks again
