Broken Captive Bolt

I have a broken captive bolt. I was trying to tighten the valve covers and the first bolt I turned just broke right off in there. I went to the dealership and they happened to have an extra one lying around.

Now, how do I get the rest of the bolt out of there?

Release the captive bolt & it will be free!!! J/K, hadta put that up. For the bolt's location: can you fit a drill in there with a small bit & use an easy out? If possible is there enough of the bolt sticking out where you could clamp a vise grip on it or chisel it out?

What worked for me one time (not on a captive bolt but still) wad to take a small flat head screwdriver and hammer a groove in to the broken bolt. Then I was able to turn it out with the screw driver!

That's what I meant by 'chiseling' it. That's worked for me more times than I can remember!
