Please help!!

My friend called earlier and said his truck rand fine yesturday, but when he started it this morning it is missing and blowing alot of white smoke, he took it for a ride and it will only do 25 mph.

We thought it could be the CPS so he put a new one on and the truck wont start at all it just rolls over.

It is a 01 with 7.3 about 150,000 miles.

Any ideas?
He has no mods at all it is totally stock, and its 50 degrees today so I no its not gelling.

Thanks for your help.
