02 7.3 f250 please help

im new to the deisel world and i recently purchased a 02 7.3 f250 cc 4x4 and it was running a little rouh ford acanned and said the turbo was week and i had one bad injector got that taken care of the trucks still runs a little rough and dies in reverse evry time and sometimes when im stopping at a light or turning into a parking lot but starts right back up no codes though i would appreciate any thoughts im lostand it smokes greyish white smoke

did it die before you had the injector replaced? maybe you have a loose connection somewhere.

yeah it seemed like the injector really wasnt the problem a freind of mine told me it was more than likely the valve cover harness to the injectors the code was cyl 2 hi to lo

Stalling and starting right back up sure sounds like a CPS

would that cause the smoking too

I would think its possible, but whats funny about your situation is every time in reverse it stalls, i would check the UVC first, you may have a bad harness. With no codes its hard to tell and I don't like just throwing parts at problems, but the CPS is cheap now and you should carry a spare anyway.

the bad thing is i really need to put some miles to get the code to come on but im in fear of being stranded imediatley after the new injector was in i took it to the shop to get the trouble codes scanned and the same 2 cyl hi lo ncode was on and thats when they told me it was probably the valve cover but the code didnt come back on on the way home but you are riht ill grab a cps sensor

i agree that is wierd and it is hard to tell without codes.
