No wait to start, just cranking

so i was doing the high idle mod on my truck today and started it and everything was fine. finished connecting some wires and tried to start and had nothing. i noticed that the check eng light was on and the wait to start light was not coming on. it just cranks. checked all fuses under hood and on drivers side and found tow that were bad and replaced them (dome lights and cigarette lighter). I tried to by pass the gpr to heat the oil to start and still nothing. gpr wont throw a code by can the controller?? i need this issue fixed yesterday. PLEASE HELP!!!! thanks in advance
