My buddies just did that. Little wire to starter burned off at the end of it. I had him put key on, in run position. I ot under it from wheel well area and jumped it.(screwdriver) then had to replace the wire end.

I reread yours, you jump started the starter, it wont crank it? If cables are good, batteries good, then dead starter. If you are trying to jump the starter it makes narrowing it down easy. Takes key switch, relays etc out of the issue.

HELP no start 911!

Crawl under the truck and give the starter a few good wacks. You could also jump the solenoid with a screw driver. Put your screw driver on the big post on the starter and touch the small post.

So you jumped the truck? Or you jumped the starter?

Try jumping the starter relay on the passenger fender. If it works. Replace it. It's cheap. It should look something like this. It's off of a 97 but it's just like yours. Attachment 306786
