250 miles from home

I'm about 250 miles from home and I think my egr cooler is messing up I pulled the valve and had a half inch of build up on the bottom and it was starting to get pretty moist not soaked yet I have only lost like 1/4 inch of coolant out of my degas bottle should I be able to limp it home to put in the shop

you either take the chance or have it towed or have a friend come help.let's back up here a sec.

is your truck puffing white smoke now or showing any signs out the tail pipe that would make you think your egr cooler is going bad or did you just decide to pull egr valve and make your own conclusion.
