SCT X3 BIG PROBLEM AFTER INSTALL....

Alright yesterday after I dowloaded the firmware for the SCT X3 and then the custom tunes from Eric at Innovative I began having problems. I loaded one of the custom tunes and the rig wouldn't start. So I try another and the same problem. Then I put it back to stock and it fires up just fine.

I got the custom tunes sent to me again after being rebuilt and zipped before sending just as a precaution. Now this evening I go out and load one of the custom tunes and the rig won't start. Then I put the stock tune back on it and when I attempt to start it the lights flicker, the dashboard lights flicker, the gauges go back and forth and it clicks! So I try another one of the custom tunes, same scenario. So I put the stock back on and still the same scenario. I need some help, has anyone had anything like this happen and if so what is the deal.

Thanks in advance!

I threw the charger on the battery and now I got it fired up. I can't imagine what caused that. But the issue with the custom tunes still remains!

Anyone had experience loading custom tunes and then the rig won't start?

When was the last time you ran your truck? Sounds like your battery voltage was extremely low.

Also What's your trucks strategy, and can you pull codes?

Glad you got it back up and running.

How about updating the firmware on the SCT again or Maybe the tuner itself is defective

I am going to try to put the firmware on again and reload the tunes for the third time. I will let you know.

Bullock hold on before you update the firmware again. Flip your X3 over and read the serial number. Does it start with the letters XP? If not you are downloading the wrong firmware

Yes it does start with XP. This is the firmware I am putting on the device Current Version:1.2.110-3000 Last Updated:01-08-2009
SCT Automotive Performance Products

I downloaded the firmware again and loaded all three custom tunes on again. I re-named them to make sure they were being updated. Still the same scenario. Truck starts fine with stock tune but won't even turn over with custom tunes. You turn the key to start and it doesn't make a sound.

It wont even turn over with the custom files? But runs fine with the stock tune.

Whats your strategy?
