Post how do you pull the glow plug boots off?

what a day... one told me the glow plugs were under the valve covers, well they are off and not there.... after calling the dealership they told me the are down the head under the valve cover between the exhaust and valve cover...ok, found the harness... what is the trick to pulling them without breaking the wire/plastic boot... then the dealer told me that most the time it is in the glow plug module... please help, this is day 2

Sense you have the valve covers off. Look at the injector. The glow plug is on the top right corner of that, about an half inch away from the corner of the injector IIRC. to get the wire off, simply just pull on it. then take a 10mm deepsocket and un screw the glow plug untill you can feel it spin freely. then take needle nose pliers and grab the end and remove.

on older trucks aren't the glow plugs outside the valve covers? thats why i was asking. but on a side not when taking out the glow plugs be extra careful not to break the tip off inside the head. that will cause a couple of headaches
