Rookie with major dpf delete problems. Help please

Hi all,

I just installed a dpf delete kit on my 2008 F-250 6.4, I used a SCT X4 tuner and it worked fine for about 15 minutes and then it began attempting to clean filter...Resulting in horrible white smoke. Now when I shut it off it also is not registering the key and not allowing it to start, Any ideas what might be causing these problems???

Did you get the x4 with customs tunes or are you running canned tunes from SCT. I don't believe the x4 is delete capable without custom tunes.

Thanks for the reply, I just used the tunes that came on it, where would I obtain custom tunes? SCT?

There are a lot of different places that offer custom tunes, quicktricks, innovative diesel, rudys, and gearhead to name a few. Sounds like your truck might be stuck on infinite regen do to the delete without a delete tune. I'd do some more research on here as far as that goes and I'm sure someone else will chime in. Good luck
