Why does my truck stall then start right up?

Does anybody know what is causing my 2002 F350 7.3L to sputter and then stall when it is driving at slow speeds but not all the time. occasionally when i am drving through a traffic light and slowing down or through a parking lot it sputters and stalls then the check engine light comes on and then goes off with in a few minutes. when it stalls the truck is still in motion and i am able to restart it immediately after puting it into neutral. I had chip in there and i removed it thinking that the chip was causing this problem yet it has happened again a few times.

no its an auto i turned my truck over to see if tack works an while turning over dosent reg but when it fires it starts workin now dose that mean a bad cps

i have the same issue on my 04 6.0 excursion. Bugging the hell out of me. No check engine light and i do the same thing while rolling i can restart. Mine also does it warming up in my drive way. I thought about throwing in a crank sensor just for giggles. What do you think ?? I work on mercedes and that works 90% of the time.

My 03 did that and it was crank sensor

if it is the cam sensor there will almost always be a code. scan it.

Try the camshaft position sensor. Mine was doing the same thing, i replaced the cmp and the problem went away. there is a recall on them and you can get a new one installed for free!

replace the cps. mine had the same problem. i replaced the sensor and the problem stopped. there is a recall on them and you can get it replaced for free!!

my 2001 F350 is stalling a lot when at a red light/stop sign. It will start right up run fine other than that.
I just replaced the cps and upgrade the throttle pedal assembly??? It only has 112,000 on it. any ideals? nothing lights up when it happen's, oil pressure gauge not dropping when it happens.
