2004 6.0 white smoke
I have a 04 F350 140k miles. I have excessive white smoke, and coolant loss in the exhaust. The truck is not loosing a lot of coolant, and it does not puke out of the bottle. I believe it is a bad egr cooler, and oil cooler from the info I got from a prior post here. The egr valve only showed minor wetness, in the intake. The truck misses at start, but quickly runs smooth. A friend of mine thinks the coolant in the intake is running into a cylinder which is making it miss at start up. Is that possible from a bad egr cooler? The performance is great. What is the best solution from this point, and how do I know if the head gasket is bad? Should I replace the egr cooler, and then delete it, or keep the bad one in there, and delete it? There seems to be kits on ebay that use the bad cooler. There are also oem coolers on ebay.
Also, should I replace the oil cooler, as recommended on here.
Thanks for your time, its my work truck, and I have been down for 2 weeks.
