Truck runs rough after 5-10 miles

I have a 96 f250 that I dont use every day. I had a problem where it would start and run fine or 5-10 miles (almost warm) and then stutter like it was starving for fuel. I could keep it running and it would smoothe out and be fine the rest of the day. I replaced the fuel filter and it still did this. This morning it stuttered and died and it will not restart. When I crank it over I can hear a loud ticking noise. Any help would be great.

I have to agree, check all your fuses and relays, replace the relays if in question, there is one relay for your pcm and another for your idm
