brake light feed back

i have a reading in my scanner saying the brake lights are on, and dthey are not, something is feeding back the switch is unpluged and still reading, iam scanning trying to find code or the problem way my tranny is not going into odrive, it is a f350 7.3

hard to diag wiring issues without looking at the vehicle, i dont think a brake light issue no matter what will effect trans shifting

if you cut the red and lite green wire coming out of the ecm and still have this reading i was told that the ecm is bad in truth to that

Are you running cheap LED bulbs in your brakelights by chance? They caused a similar issue in my buddies old truck

no the truck is stock no mods, only think is a brake box. it is wired in with fracotry stuff, only is something there might be crossing over there and telling the ecm that the brakes are on. i do now on the e40d tranny if brake are applied that the torque converter will not lock.
