please help. 2006 F250 light gray white smoke then ran fine

On vacation 500 miles from home and truck lost power started smoking white light gray. Lasted about 5 min. and picked up and ran fine. Coolent level same as when I started on trip oil level same not overheating changed fuel filters 2 weeks ago and oil last week. Need advice no check engine light no mods truck is bone stock with 70,000 miles I added cetane boost after smoke cleared and went 30 miles to campground with no trouble. I am pulling a light weight camper of only 5000 pounds.

Forgot to add lost all power when smoking rpm's up down pedal had no effect.

You may need to pull your EGR valve out and service it.
Keep an eye on your boost gauge also. The vanes in your turbo may be sticking.
Mine started out with white/grayish color ..... Replaced exhaust back pressor sensor. Cleared up for 3 months. Replace head gaskets. Cleared up for a few months. Removed EGR Cooler. Been clean for 3 months.

ill agree with loyd , sounds like egr valve hung open to me

Since nobody has mentioned it I'd say the EGR valve hung open for a bit! Check that!

Keep an eye on that color of smoke also. Hoping it doesn't turn blueish. Yup ...... swapped out the turbo. Cleaned up except SOOT
