can't get truck to start!!!

so about a week ago my truck wouldnt start in the parking lot. had to get it towed to a mechanic.. ($$$) then he changed the fuel injector harness and the glow plug relay ($$$$$!) then he said it would run fine. drove the truck a day(started fine) and the next day it would turn over but not fire. so i changed the IDM because the "mechanic" said he thought thats what it was... still nothing.. tryed to start it.. had to get a jump (from a cummins) because all the failed starting attempts drained my batteries. and still nothing.. didnt even sound like it was trying to fire. the wait to start light comes on. but one time i tryed to start it the windshield wiper turned on.. then off for no reason.. please help me shed some light on this.

When you crank the engine over does the Tach. needle jump or move any?

what kind of engine is it, 7.3??
have you checked all the fuses under the hood and in the cab
are you building atleast 450psi of oil pressure on a 7.3

Try CPS and have it scanned for codes

What year is your truck? If it is a 7.3 I would start diag. for a CPS. JJ

i just bought the truck a few months back. its a 99 f350 7.3L . what is a CPS and what dose it do?

cps cam position senser

cam position sensor and it craps out and you have no signal to your computer to fire the injectors, I think it also controls your tach, do you have a tach and does it move while you crank it?

I have a 99 early model that has just started doin the same thing,the only dif is im getting a strange clicking slash buzzing noise when i turn the key in the on position.The truck has 210k but usally runs great just put two new bat in.any sugestions

check the starter switch and glow plug switch.i beleave thats the click,click you hear?
