Truck apart for hpop issues

As I was taking our f550 (2004 late) apart for a weak hpop I noticed the map sensor tube was split. The truck was fine save for low icp desired and icp actual numbers at wot (2000 psi). My scan tool can't command the ipr closed to check hpop output so it went to a local diesel mechanic for final diagnostics. Would a leaky map tube cause low icp desired numbers and low icp actual numbers to follow suit? I am at the point where I need an awnser before the pump comes out!
And thanks for the wealth of information here as well.

the map hose being split will cause severe loss of power.i would replace the hose then drive truck and report back.
