Going to dealer tomorrow-Any tips before I go?
I will try to be short. 2004 F250 6.0, 36,000 miles. Edge juice (because it was $250) and K&N filter was on the truck when I bought it. these are the only mods. the issues I have are:
1. spitting back through intake on hills when i try to keep constant speed and sometimes tons of black smoke/no power when this happens. only symptom I had for a while. 2. recently, I occasionally have loads of blue/grey smoke at idle. 3. losing coolant. drove aroud town a little for 2 days and it lost a little. drove the interstate the other day, about 150 miles went from min mark to no coolant in resevoir, 1.5 gals to get back to min mark. I have an appointment with the dealer Monday. I will remove the edge and thought about putting on the stock air filter too. Do I need to reset the computer? any other info ya'll want to throw my way would be appreciated!! |

Get hold of some headstuds and try to get the dealer to install them when they replace your headgaskets and leave the K&N off when you get it back

If they say headgaskets, I will definitely push for the studs. I have heard that the K&N leaves a lot to be desired, so I guess I'll put the stock one back on till I can afford an afe or something similar.
