ANOTHER ROUGH IDLER

It been awhile since i posted (hello all) but like alot of post i have rough idel after my 2001 250 7.3 warms up, i have changed the fuel filter and it was nasty. the truck overall got its power back and is running great, but the darn thing will idel rough when i come to a stop, I can put it into N or Park and there is no difference, also if i rev it up for a min i can still fill the rough idel.
sometimes it gets so bad that i think the truck is going to die, its weird, sometimes it runns just fine, any help would be greatly appreciated

Pull your chip out and see if it still does it. How long since you have changed your oil. Old oil can do similar things.

Did you ever solve your rough idel issue? I just bought (and joined this forum after doing many serches), a 2000 f250 7.3L, all stock (planning to do some mods soon) with 83,500 miles on it and it runs perfectly except when I stop at intersections where she tends to shake the cab a little bit. I was told the oil was changed 2000 miles ago and there is no chip, so I'm wondering if there is something else I should be looking for! I'm hoping it's not an injector issue, but since it's all stock, I was assuming not. Is there a good injector cleaner I should try running through it?

mine does the wierd idle too, and sometimes when I'm driving the truck with hop around and it sounds like there is a mis fire or something, its not constant?

Good point, people selling stuff don't always tell the truth. I'll change the oil and fuel filter first chance I get. I did check the air filter at lunch and it was pretty dirty, so I ordered a DIY air filter and will put that on as soon as it gets here. Hopefully that takes care of it. I'll definitly let you guys know one way or the other!

I do have a buddy that has a scanner. I'll stop by there too and have him hook her up. Thanks again guys, and I'll keep ya posted!
