Injector Issue/Question!

my truck seems to have a miss to it and it makes the exhaust sound funny when i get into it like its real heasitant or somethings blocking the exhaust from getting out, anyways if i had a bad injector would my check engine light come on or would my sct be able to throw a code? my injection timing stays at -1.000 n never drops lower than that n at idle its a constant -1.000....moral of all this, someone help?
