Coolant leak!
So me and the family go down to Fl for the weekend. Did very little driving while we there. Sunday start the trip back, it's like a two hour drive. Stop to make a pit stop and while I smoke a cigarette notice what looks to be water dripping off the front of the motor. I pop the hood and really didn't see anything. Look at the degas bottle, it's bone dry! I get under the the truck and follow the leak the best I could. It seems to be coming for the top of the lower radi. hose but couldn't see any further north then that. Could it be the hose or is the water pump about ready to let go and the coolant is coming from the weeping hole? It really sucks having the truck down.

I would get back under there with a light and get a better look might just be the hose
Good Luck on the fix |

Well got the truck torn down and come to find out it wasn't the water pump, even after talking to the local Ford tech. The lower radi. hose had been rubbing the steering box and a small hole was the problem. So since I had a new water pump and after tracking down a hose everything is buttom up and running like a champ.

Well you know the saying when it rains it pours. I got the truck running after fixing the coolant problem. Well later that night had to stop in by work to sign some paper work. Got about a mile and half down the road and I hear what sounds like the front wheel about to come off and the ABS light comes on, hhmmm. I pull over and look everything over, can't find anything. So I turn around and pull into a parking lot that has some light, it dark by the way. Still nothing but don't won't to chance it so I call my friend and my wife to bring the jack and stands out so I can get a better look. Nothing! Try limping it home, nope that wasn't going to work. Call a tow truck to take it the rest of the way. I had to laugh when the tow truck show up and put my truck on the flatbed, never heard a hyda system moan like that one did trying to get my truck up there. Anyways, got it home pull the unit bearings out and what do you know, the drivers say has gone out and it's the inner bearings, not the little needle bearing that run on the shaft. Locked up some much can't even turn it by hand. So it's will be Monday hopefully that the new hubs will get here. Sorry for the long post. Just never had some much truck trouble in since a small amount of time.
