Desperate help needed

I got a 7.3 and the engine oil cooler was leaking. Got it pulled off and got it separated. Put the new o rings in and trying to get it back together and it wont slide together. I know the orings hold it together but it wont go. Cleaned the housing and tried different ways of putting it together put it still wont go. I dont want the orings to slip and tear or crimp cause then it is back to step one. Please help!!!!

I believe the ends are pressed on the tube, so it might be very tough to try and get them on there unless you're using a press.

Got it fixed

Able to get the oring in buy using a dull screw driver pushing it in. Once I got it started the ends slid on nice and easy. Not leaking oil any more.
