no throttle on '97 PS
Started up my '97 F250 PS this morning as usual.Let idle for a few minutes to warm up.When I went to take off it had no throttle at all.It was working fine when I shut it off last night.Changed fuel filter,checked fuses,and bled off fuel/water seperator still nothing.Will idle all day long but no throttle.I need truck right away to haul my 20'gooseneck full of xmas trees out of the mts.before it snows tonite.

Does it idle ok just no power, or is it just dead, or ok 1 min dead again the next?

Are your gages working? I lost my gages and throttle it was a fuse had to check the fuses 3 time before I found it.

more than likely the fuel pedal sensor died. ohm it out and check for voltage if you want to be positive.

I had this happen to me in my 99 F-350. It was a fuse. It is the start of the wires going to the overdrive button on the shifter shorting out. You might want to tear into the shifter to check those wires just to be safe.

ya i had the same problem on my o2 it was one little over drive wire,took the shifter off and wraped electrical tape on the wire and it was good to go
