Post repairs, now starts, idle blips, dies

2005 F250 6.0 225K Some type of work truck (standard cab, long bed, 2 wd white, with Tommy Gate)

Bought smoking.

Replaced EGR cooler, Oil cooler. Ran for 4 minutes, and died. No restart.

Replaced IPR. Old one screen trashed, filled with crap. Cleaned turbo.

Starts on demand, idles for 3-5 minutes, and dies.
During run time, idle will blip up for split second 1-3 times.

Smoked heavy a couple minutes into startup. Smokes less and less every time, but still more than I want.

I really wanted to drive this thing tomorrow, particularly a blowout run on the highway, but frankly I don't trust it to leave the driveway. Hoping getting it moving will clean things out.

Anything I should be looking at? I will have quality scan abilities tomorrow evening.

You may have trash in the passage between the oil cooler sump and HP oil pump. Remove your IPR. If its full of garbage again, that's the likely cause. Ive seen this happen a lot to guys during oil cooler service. Leave the IPR out, and crank the engine over for a bit to flush the passage. Its messy, but it does work.
