Lift pump leaking on '97 7.3

Sorry to bother the group again, but I got a problem. I was doing a oil change and noticed a diesel leak. I am almost certain that it is the lift pump cause I changed out the rubber lines on the filter housing yesterday when I did the filter change. Has anyone had any problems with the lift pump leaking. Also there was only fuel towards the back of the motor and none under the filter housing. There is a fitting on the back of the pump that is held in by some sort of bolt, is there a washer or o-ring that seals that off or is it just the pressure from the bolt?
Off the lift pump issue, does anyone know exactly that the sensor inside of the air filter housing is for and what is it called.

i do believe the sensor inside the airbox is called the air temerature sensor.. i made a DIY intake and totally disregarded the sensor and left it there and had no problems with it. The bolt you are talking about i believe is called a banjo bolt, there is a copper washer of some sort that goes on before the bolt which holds the aft fuel lines into the pump, the bolt is 1 1/4" if i remember right, its a pain to get at but you need a boxed end preferably 12pt. wrench.
