Can anyone tell me what part this is?

My truck is going into the shop for warrenty work because there is a connector missing with 2 open wires. It is on top of the motor almost directly in the middle with what appears to be 2 vaccum lines going to it with the 2 wires which the connector thats missing plugs into. They said it was a $600 dollar fix and there giving me crap about it. Anyone know what this part is???

What would be the easiest way to fix this? Cut a connector and some wire off a junk truck and splice with heatshrink?

Do you? There really aren't many powerstrokes around here in the boneyards.. How much would you want for it?
