Died while driving NO start/ No crank

I have a 2000 7.3 that just died while i was driving. I went to start my truck today, and it just clicked, so i jumped it and it started fine. I drove it for 2 minutes then noticed the voltmeter was low, then battery light came on then finally the truck just died while i was driving, batteries are so dead the windows wont even roll up. Alternator? Thanks in advance

alright just went out and tried it again, i was able to roll the windows up, dash lights came on, and was even able to get the starter to click again on several different attempts but still no start, also after i had tried to start it this time an odd clicking sound started coming from about a foot to the right of the fuse box and the tachometer sporatically started registering about 1000 rpms even though the truck was not running and the dome light sporatically turned on and off

Hook your batteries up to a slow charger and go get a new alternator tomorrow. I had a alternator go out on me while I was driving at night one time. It's easy to tell what it is at night cause your lights continue to get dimmer while you drive until the truck dies.
