No codes--engine missing
O.K. I have changed my fuel lift pump, ICP sensor, CPS, IPR. When I changed the IPR, it seemed to help a little, but also made the miss in the engine seem more defined. It idles with a surge between 590 and 670 rpms, and has a definite power loss. now am suspicious of the UVC harness, IDM, and or a bad injector, But NO Codes.(using a friends scanner). Should I get it to the shop for a "better" scan?

I had a definate miss one time will my 99 and it was the wiring harness to the injectors and glow plugs under the valve cover

If friends scanner can run a cylinder contribution test and/or injector self test, I would do that first and it should identify the problem cylinder. Then pull the valve cover for inspection of harness & valve train. Possibly even run a compression test if no faults are found.

THanks for the advice. Iguess I need to get it hooked up to a computer that can run some more extensive tests.
