Engine noise/vibration while towing

2002 7.3 PS, Auto Tranny, F-250 Crew 4x4 w/Hypertech programming, while towing R.V. and I turn the air conditioning on I get a instant and steady rev noise from the engine, along w/a power loss. If I turn the a.c. off, it goes away. I have already replaced the fan-clutch. Note: If I am not towing, it will not do it with or without the air conditioning on. Outside temperature seems to be a factor! The warmer it is the more likely it is to happen! Any help? This is my first post and it appears that there is alot of knowledge on this site. Thanks for the advise in advance.

I appreciate the thoughts, I feel that it more than that. Due to the fact that the truck runs fine with the a.c. on, while I'm not towing.
