1997 PSD no start after edge programming

I went to up my program from emissions to tow and the programmer didnt finish and now my truck wont start. The programmer claims a connection error but I have checked that. The fuse it good.

I think it has fried my ECM.. anyway to confirm this without a scanner?

It is more than likely fried.
If the Edge comes unplugged at all during a programming session, it will blank your PCM.
This happened to a member here-sevenmallards-if I remember right, Edge may have paid for a new PCM for him. I am not totally sure though. Yours will have to be reflashed or replaced....

Thanks guys,

I will be calling edge in the morning and the local ford dealer to see about getting it reflashed. Then I will be returning the tuner and getting a custom chip like I had planned before I got the deal on the edge.

Well it sounds like this happens often.. *sigh*

After I described what happened the tech responded immediately and said that they were overnight shipping me a "stock writer" that will replace the stock programming on the PCM...

Definately not impressed with the product, but atleast they didnt tell me oh well you'll just have to go to the dealer..
