95 7.3 e350 cranks wont start

Greetings and thx2 all in advance of any info that may come my way. New to the board, reviewed some topics, still trying to resolve a start issue with a 1995 ford e350, cranks wont start. New to me, veh starts runs no problems. took to local shop for a trans seal leak, went to pull it in the nightmare began. Pushed in, the next day no start for shop, I got it to start by just turning the key, stopped running after 5 minutes. The shop is a fleet ford-taxi-limo gasoline service, no diesel work here, and appaears out of their league. The symptoms, crank with full battery, overnite charge, no tell tale puff of smoke during start attmpts. Will run batteries down trying. I'm in Chicago Near North, diesel shops are scarce, many driven out of the city due to economics and overbearing city regulation. So even a referral to a diesel shop is helpful. It's very possible that with the right direction and with more research I might be able to present the mechanics here direction, as they are too busy with shop-ops to do research. Any thoughts on alldata.diy for info? From what I have read here there appears to be (4) areas suspect to cause, if it could be that simple as only (4) I'm including my email, cdt708@yahoo.com , and if I am posting wrong area or bring issues with the post, I'm new to the board and appreciate any tips on where, whatm not to include in post. Additionally the vehicle has about 280K miles, and saw fleet service by in-service-solutions, looked through svc records without indication of this in past. Again -thanks RW
