6.0 problem
2004 E350 is spittin, sputtering and blowing black smoke. Had emissions recall done about 6 months ago. I think EGR was replaced but not sure. Have about 77,000 miles on vehicle. I think EGR needs cleaning any other ideas. Oh yeah changed fuel filters last week when this problem started

I agree with you thinking it is the EGR valve.

I sent you the tech sheet for the EGR valve removal and replacement. Good luck and keep us posted on your results!
