strange noise

ok this is probably a stupid question but im kinda new to diesel when the engion is cold i get this weird air/compressor noise out of the exhaust that when i tap the throttle goes away and comes back till it warms up and i got a ballbearing turbo on it as well that is pritty loud spool down when you turn it off is this normal or should i be scared? she is a 99 f250 sd with a 7.3 turbo in it. i will post a link till i figer out how to post a vid here lol.

Im no diesel pro but I think its called an exhaust back pressure valve,it stays closed until the motor warms up,try unpluging it and see if it still does it,unpluging it will let it stay open,hope this helps you out
