coolant leak

Ok guys i recently changed my dads 03 6.0 hpop and now were having a coolant leak. And all you can see is it coming down starter to tranny lines. Tommorow im going to look at it running and then when he turns it off. I did notice one day the passenger window fogged up from the dash but see nothing from heater hose. Also going to pull egr valve tommorow and see if the itm looks wet. And i did change the egr cooler hose with a blue one brand new and it dont feel wet. Also when install the egr cooler it was difficult to get the bolt into it going in through the intake manifold so maybe dont have it seated right which will suck. And finally i believe it really only leaks once he turns it off and maybe leaks worse when parked up a hill but from top of motor i see nothing. So any inputs would be great and also to what parts to remove to try and see in there better to track it down.
