MAP Sensor

im in the process of trying to figure out why my 99.5 7.3 cant tow anything, and is really lacking power in general, the only time it rips is in 140 tune, but any way, under 50 tow tune i cant pull a 17ft boat that can be moved by hand, it chugs up hills with or without the boat.. i examined my map sensor and although it is functional the peg to hook the vac hose to snapped off, so the vac tube is plugged with a screw and my map is reading atmosphere im assuming? how different can this really make my truck run without that vac tube hooked up? this is emergent because i also have no wastegate, so i will need to purchase one or the other this week, maps 80$ and i found a cheap wastegate, so if the maps not a big deal i can wait
