Any Texans near Midland

My parents are on a cross country jaunt to Alabama, and are having an EGR issue ( I think). Their 03' 6.0L is smoking and running rough. Are there any shops in the area that are reputable? My dad can't smell coolant but he says there is an unusual odor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jeff

I know there is a Ford dealership in Odessa. Been there couple of times, not bad people. My grandpa lives at that way.

Black smoke, I assume... It does sound like a dirty EGR. Midland looks like it is in the middle of no where. Can they get the truck to Fort Worth? They might have better luck there, if they can't find the dealership in Odessa.

I am from Midland. It is a three week wait to get a diesel worked on in Midland last time I checked. Try Sewell Ford in Odessa or Carrillo Automotive. They are both good people.
