I cleaned my EGR and now lots of smoke.
No water loss and no big oil consumption.
What should I look for?
What should I do?

thanks in advance,
Paul

first off cleaning the egr is for the most part a waste of time, and is a very temporary fix, sounds to me like its possible its stuck open, did you pull it back out and look at it

It looked like it is closed and fits tight.
one O ring is kind of rough. More than likely from when I took it out.
How tight do they need to fit?

White to blue. Not white like water & not a true blue like oil.
sort of a combo.

I know when my EGR was acting up it was black smoke. When the EGR cooler went it was whitish/blue smoke. I would be leaning toward EGR cooler. I'm sure someone like SCUFFY828 would have more knowledge about it than me. He helped me out a lot on a 4.2l v-6 problem a while back.
