Help

My EOT & ECT have always been with in a 5-7 degree difference. My SCT livewire needs repair so my iphone can only monitor ECT. This morning I was driving home from work an stopped and pulled over 2 times and idled for about 20 mins each. My ECT was about 195-199 degrees then after idling for 20 mins it goes to 220-225 (83 degree weather). This happened both times. When I start driving the fan kicks in and the temps drop back to 195-199 with in about 1-2 mins going about 40-45 MPH.

The fan looks to be spinning normal at idle as before.
Is this a sign of a stuck thermostat?

Ya could be the t-stat. And being that its so easy to change out that's were I would start!

Check out the manual fan control while your at it. No, its not the cure that you are looking for but in a situation like this you could of flipped the switch and gone down the road. Its very easy to do and takes all of 5 minutes to complete!
