Truck immersed in water

I was going through a creek last night and got stuck. water was pretty high but below the intake. I got yanked out and now it wont start I have power. Fuel bowl looks like its all fuel. I will pull codes later but only symptom i have to work with is,

My wait to start light does not come on at all and I have a Check engine light. What would cause my wait to start light to not come on, replacement of the glow plugs maybe? thanks

p.s. my truck is out at the lake right now

Sounds like you need a snorkel man if you are river crossing,

Good luck with the truck though!

no wait to start light means no power to the pcm, doesnt mean its fried , make sure you check all the fuses

For the 99-01 SD's it's fuse # 30 to check... bottom right hand side, it's a 30 amp fuse. See if that's blown. If it is, your truck won't start. Fuel bowl heater/pcm power fuse.

PCM replacement is easy, but don't know if that's your problem. Go into the movies on this site and search "DP TUNER INSTALL" and it'll come up. Good luck.
