Help! 6.4 egr delete problem!

So today I installed my egr delete on my 6.4, everything went good, everything came out well, I put the plates on then I tried to put in the coolant bloCk off plates. Neither of them went in all the way, so I tried tightening the bolts that hold them in, and it made one side go in but the other side would stick out. Anybody else experience this? I managed to tighten one where it wouldn't poor coolant but the other one leaks. Whoever has done an egr delete themselves, did yours pop right in? Or was it a ***** to get them in? Am I missing something??

For anybody looking at this, I figured out what happened. So I pull out the plug, and checked the o-ring, and it was fine. But it was really dirty, had dirt all over the o-ring. So I cleaned it off, wiped some oil around the ring, and I put back in the engine. When I tightened it I didn't over tighten it so it was even all the way around, and not one side popping out and one in due to a single bolt. Now it works fine, doesn't drip at all.

Should go all the way in. Be sure to not tilt it to push it in. Keep it flush and lube is your friend
