So, Since I bought the truck it's been nothing but work, but I love her.
Originally, when I bought the truck the tranny(e4od) was slipping so I change the clutches but not the valve body approx. a month ago. Since the clutches change it never wanted to shift on it's own, I either had to speed up or slow down, then it would shift fine.
Yesterday, the truck decided to die on deceleration from 50 mph and above, once the tach gets below 1000rpms then falls to zero, truck dies(tach not moving at zero), it would start back up immediately. Today I changed the CPS and what do I discover? the truck is now shifting on it's own, but misfiring
before the shift and still dying on decel. WTF?
P.S. I bought the CPS from O'rielly's (I know their parts suck, but I have no choice, it's "Oregon tomorrow or bust").
Any help is greatly appreciated.
1995, 7.3 turbo, e4od, I bought the truck 2 months ago and this is what I've done.
Oil, fuel, filters, tran partial rebuild, waterpump, fuel pump, and a little more.
