Just wanted to tell you guys if you should experiance a continued dying of your engine, even after a cps repalacement, check to see if your after market chip is still funtioning as it should. I bought my truck used and did not know about the chip that had been installed. Also, because the chip was failing, it caused the relay which operates both the gas fuel, and the wait to start indicater lights on the dash to fail as well. Would have never figured this one out without all the electronical help, and a very good diesel mechanic.

How to?

Getting ready to change my water pump on a 2000 h.d. power stroke diesel. I need some information as to what needs to be pulled, the torques, and any other help. I have the 7.3, auto trans, 4 wheel drive.

Is this fuse in the engine compartment or under the dash? Anybody know what amperage it is?

I had the same problem one time....my fuse was located under the hood with the relays. It was the last BIG fuse on the end nearest the motor. My wait to start light wouldnt come on and my truck wouldnt start...But the real problem was the fuel heater element in the fuel canister...it was shorting out inside, causing the fuse to blow.
