Anti-Freeze Green/Gold

Hi, I have an urgent need for some advice hear. I have a 2003 F-250 with the 7.3 diesel in it I bought brand new in 2002, I believe it is one of the last runs of the 7.3 the motor actually has a 2002 sticker on the valve cover in a 2003 body.

My problem is I took the truck to the local ford dealership to have the radiator flushed and all new hoses put on (167,000 mi.) when I got it new it had green anti-freeze in it, but the service Dept. put Gold in it this time.

Will this hurt the engine?

I'm about to drive from Houston to Phoenix and don't want to be stuck in the desert.

They are practically the same thing, gold is fords mixture that they use to try and make you go back to buy their antifreeze. The best stuff for our trucks is the red stuff, elc, extended life coolant.

Are you sure it was green? By 2003, as far as I know, they had switched over to the gold. I know, if the 11th VIN digit is an E (meaning it was assembled in KY) it did...

Yes sir I'm positive it was green, it even has a sticker on the radiator tank a circle with a line thru it with a bottle in the middle with gold fluid (like the no smoking sign) the truck 2003 but came with a 2002 motor with ambulance package. I special ordered the 03 model in late 2002. the motor actually has a 2002 sticker on valve cover.

So I take it the gold wont hurt anything?
