Turbo still leaking out oil

OK so i just had my turbo rebuilt from the ground up.
Anyway my truck is still smoking big time like 4 days after.
SO i decided to pull off my pipe just to check for oil becuase i figure all the oil in the pipe would have burnt off by now. Sure enough the turbo has oil leaking out the exhaust side. So talked with my turbo guy and he said he has never had a problem with a rebuild on a powerstroke. He also mentioned that my oil drain down could be restricted. So i pulled off the turbo and the pedastal and everything appears to be fine. I ran water through the pedistal to see if it was flowing free and it is. So the only restriction in my mind could be between the bottom of the petistal and the block. Has anyone ever experienced a oil drain down problem in a powerstroke turbo or do you think its still the turbo?
thanks
