Low fuel pressure
I am running the sct live wire and have an auxiliary fuel pressure sending unit taking pressure of the fuel pressure test port. I have been running about 65 psi. One thing I noticed is the pressure seems to jump around between 60-70. The analog egt probe seems to jump around a little as well and read this is fairly common with the act and analog gauges.
My question is this, today I noticed my fuel pressure dropping to 11 then jumping up to 65. It seems to be very cyclic. The truck is running great but I have parked it until I can figure this out. Could this just be a bad sending unit? Would the truck even run well at all at 11 psi? The truck is an '03 with 71K on it, egr delete, and blue spring upgrade.
I suppose I could rig up an aftermarket gauge to put into the test port to check pressure??
Any thoughts and thanks for the help.
