Injector Removal
Hey all! This is my first pull of injectors on a 99 7.3l. I pulled the oil galley drain plugs and the bolt(s) to the injector and its seated in there pretty good. My book is talking about some special tool for removal. Anyone using basic items from around the shop to remove? Let me know and any techniques advice would be greatly appreciated.

put a pry bar under the injector clamp and carefully pry off the head of the engine... the injector will pop right out of its cup and become free.

I am pullin the injector cups (sleeves) as well. Do you recommend any use of threadlocker on the cups?

i bought the installer and im gonna try the CAT bolt that some guys were talk about for the removal tool. it only cost 8 bucks so if it doesnt work its not the end of the world right.
