help no gas pedal

MY 01 f-350 has no pedal. Starts and runs only at idle. Not good for getting anywhere fast. But it is good for mpg. Any help please on what I need to look for or replace. I relaced the whole pedal sensor assembly today but that did not fix the problem. Starts fine but I have no control over RPM's.

check and see if your overdrive button works, as well as the dash lights...

Im betting you have the fuse for the pedal assembly blown, due to the wire coming out of the shift lever fraying. If you take the plastic trim off the steering column, you will se a wire coming out of the shif lever. that wiring controlls the Overdirive button. The wires tend to fray over time, and will fray enough to short to ground and blow the fuse that controll it, which is also the fuse for your pedal assembly...
