I have a 2006 f-350 6.0 PSD 4x4 w/ 79,xxx miles. I am hearing a squeeking/whining noise coming from what appears to be one of the pulleys up in the front. I'm thinking it might be the idler pulley. I hear the noise at idle and when i let off the throttle driving down the road. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue, if so what was it or where do you think it might be coming from?
Also, I just straight piped the truck a few days ago, everything ran and sounded fine. Sounds awesome. But after a 3 hour drive to work today I am now noticing a pinging noise coming from the end of the pipe. Could I have thrown a code? or is my turbo possibly going out? Does it matter how long the pipe is?
