Here we go again..6.0 down

2004, F-350 acted up a few weeks ago. Driving home, she started smoking white smoke, chugging, stalling. Check engine light came on. Changed the fuel filters, had some water, afterwards ran fine. Today, same thing, limped it back to my shop, engine light on. Pulled no codes, reset the computer, dropped and changed the filters, doing the same thing, whitish smoke, lots of it, no power. As soon as you put the pedal down she raises and chugs the RPM's real slow, clears up and races up no problem. Drop it in gear and she chugs again.
Any ideas? I'm hearing tank lining issues more and the way 6.0

What code reader are you using? When the light comes on that means there are codes that need to be read, but your reader may not support what it needs to read the truck....white smoke means your getting a lot of fuel.....I'm sure a tech will be along shortly to help you out more, but here is another bump
