Unhappy 911/ 6.0 down

First off, I want to say hi to everyone and happy new year, great forum here.

driving my f350 today, stopped at a light, made a left turn and out of no where the truck starts puffing out nasty smelling white smoke, no power to the piont of almost stalling. Limped it back to my shop, shut er down and restarted it. Idles fine, when you go to raise the RPM's a bit, she stumbles at 1500, loads up, clears then as soon as you drop into gear ( auto) she stumbles again and stalls. Like I said nasty white smoke puffing, engine light on. Had the harness recall done about 1 yr ago. Any ideas? Help!

it's an 04 by the way. Tank still has 1/4 in it. Ran it out since full, no problems.

Is there a water in fuel light on or just a check engine light? There's a little drain plug at the bottom of your top fuel filter resevoir, just empty that and let it re-fill...if you don't get a water in fuel light, it shouldnt be that. Anyway, free bump for someone who knows more than me...lol Welcome to the Org!

is the smoke white or blue?? Almost sounds to me like your turbo just came apart. If it did, running it is just dumping more oil into the intercooler. If that is the case MAKE SURE the intercooelr gets cleaned when the turbo is replaced or when you get the first boost from the tubo the truck will run away and blow up.

It could also be white smoke from a bad EGR cooler, but that wont usually cause symptoms as bad as you have...

Smoke is whitish with a really bad "jet fuel" type smell to it
